How do you create your pieces?
I have a collection of original mixed media paintings that i’m working on, some of which can be seen in the Fine Art Collection. I’m preparing for an art show so right now these pieces are not for sale. However I love them so much I decided to use them to create my mixed media collages. All the painting you see layered in the collages are taken from my original works and reprinted and collaged on different textures.
Why should I invest in a piece of original artwork?!
Art makes the world a better place. I very much value the creative process believe that through art we can change the world and not merely decorate it. I am passionate about art being used for social change therefore you will notice that with my dog collages I also give 10% of the profits to local charities that I am actively involved with. Your purchase is also something you can treasure knowing it is an original one one-of-a-kind piece and not a mass produced reproduction. Supporting me with your purchase will also help me grow as an artist and educator. With this small business I am able to support my teaching practice both financially and creatively. As an artist and educator I have often be asked to justify my subject. There are many rationales for art education, such as a form of individual expression, scientific enquiry and visual culture. I have explored all of these rationales over the years. I have had students come to me with failing grades in all their subjects including art. Through experimentation, conversation and risk taking my students have been able to exceed all expectations. I had a GCSE student in the UK come to me with a predicted grade G in Art and leave me with a grade A, he now works as a ceramic artist. In one art class in the Cayman Islands I had over 70% of students in BTEC receive a Distinction* Grade! As an artist and educator I always encourage students to tackle social issues and like me, work with local charities to create social change. When will I receive my amazing artwork!?
I will prepare your order within 48hrs. I use USPS Priority Mail and USPS Priority Flat Rate. Once shipped your order should arrive in 1-3 Business Days. Right now I’m only shipping within the US. If you are would like me to ship internationally just message me via the contact me page and i’ll see what i can do!
Do you sell gift cards?
Sure! I have gift cards for $35, $40, $70 and $80 once you purchase the gift card i’ll send you the email with the coupon code and i’ll be sure to include a special gift when the gift card is redeemed.
Do you take commissions?
Absolutely! If you’re interested in a collage of you beloved pet just send me a message me via the contact me page. I will send you over some tips for taking the perfect pet photo to create your pets unique silhouette. We can then discuss colors and styles. I will create this collage just for you and will not use your silhouette in any other collages. For this reason prices start at $50 for a 6.5 x 4.5 inch artwork, and $65 for a 7.5 x 9.5 artwork. This process usually takes anywhere from 7-14 days.
Is my artwork going to look just like the photo?
I’ve tried to match the colors of the actual artwork with the colors that you see on screen. Just please bear in mind you are purchasing an original hand crafted piece of art so there could be a slight difference with the colors and textures. All work has been sprayed with a UV- Resistant Clear Acrylic Coating to guard against fading but it’s still advisable to keep the artwork away from direct sunlight.
How can I frame my artwork?
All artwork will come to your in a white mat mount. This will protect it during shipping and can also be used as the mount in a frame. I recommend an 8×10 inch frame for the 6.5 x 4.5 inch artwork and an 11 x 14 inch frame for the 7.5 x 9.5 artwork. Can I return my order? Can i change my order?
Oh i’m sorry you’ve changed your mind. I can accept returns on shop items but commissions are non refundable. Please email me within 7 days of delivery and return the item within 14 days. You will just need to return the item in a re-saleable condition and pay for any return postage. Once received I will refund you the cost of the item (but sorry I cannot refund the shipping!) If you want to change your order let me know ASAP and if I haven’t already shipped it I can change it for you.
Help! The art I wanted in no longer available! can you recreate it?
I won’t be able to make an exact duplicate of the artwork you like. The awesome thing about my work is everyones piece is unique! However, I can create something for you in a similar style, just message me via the contact me page with the title or the SKU and i’ll send you a private email a couple of days before the item goes in the shop!
Where are you located?
I’m originally from the UK, spent over 9 years in the Cayman Islands and now i’m living in Phoenix, Arizona!
